I was born in Charleston, SC in 1957 to poor parents who tried their best to give me, my older brother and sister a chance at a better life. However, we lost both our parents in tragedy.  

After the loss of my parents, my grandmother (on my mother's side) came to Charleston and gathered us together under her wings and raised us up as best she could. I watched her work 6 days a week as a house maid to a wealthy white family in a small town in the South Carolina Low Country.

Many times in my youth I heard the words: The Lord Moves in Mysterious Ways. I can honestly say at the time.. I didn't have a clue what it meant. However, what really stuck with me was what my Grandmother taught us. She would say: The Humble Child will Taste the Grace. 

I grew up working in the Tobacco Fields of South Carolina... it was fun riding on the back of my uncle's pick up truck sitting on the downed tailgate. After graduation from High School, I joined the US Army in an effort to help my grandmother. She made me wear my dress greens to church when I came home on leave from the Military. She was so proud of me.

After returning to South Carolina from the military I worked as a delivery driver, a certified nursing assistant as well as in the construction field. It was when I became a Car Salesman that I found my true calling. I brought with me what my grandmother taught me. Honesty and Integrity. I never lied to a customer to sell them a car, but instead I treated each customer with the same respect and professionalism that they expected and deserved.

Over the years God has truly blessed my life. I'm not saying that my life has been easy. I had to work harder than the other car salesman because of my skin color. No matter what, I remained focus on doing people right. I even paid a customer's car payment to avoid a repo.
